trends always seem to return after two decades or so. however it returns in a different mood; there's a different inspiration behind it's return than what it was to the original approach to that particular trend. for example, i remember wearing pants with a flare leg in the late 80s early 90s. it was all about the slimming effect it had on your thies - everyone wore black flared pants in that stretchy fabric, over high heels to create the illusion of legs appearing longer and slimmer. however the return of the flare this time around is more rooted in the return of the hippie; combined with the drifter's hat and that crochet slip-on dress.

frankly i'm obsessed

with the return of the 1960s crochet mini dress. loose fitting, short, long-sleeved wonder.
